Beware of scammers and extortionists while on the road. A couple of weeks after the auto insurance scam incident involving Herman Sham and Raguruban Yogarajah, Toronto Police arrest 37 people in the GTA under Insurance Fraud charges. The operation was called Project Whiplash. There was some debate on whether or not Raguruban Yogarajah intentionally hit Herman Sham but CTV news used the incident as an example of auto insurance scams. The Toronto Star, in particular, wrote an article that leaned towards Yogarajah being a victim. www.thestar.com Now, after an investigation, OPP have charged Raguruban Yogarajah with fraud over 00 and public mischief.   1. Now imagine what this feels like for hundreds of innocent, law abiding motorists who happened to have NOT had a dash cam. Herman is a hero because the next time something like this happens in the GTA, the cops and insurance companies will be aware of the possibility of a scam and investigate it. Especially if a Tamil is involved. Ragu was fined $5000 but he is still ahead because he probably ran his $500 extortion racket more than 10X. I say $5000 + Deport these Lowlifes back to Sri Lanka..

  7. Ok, sham got 3 witness for this incident maybe, a cops whom ragu called as 1st witness, sham’s insurer as 2nd witness and ragu’s insurer as 3rd witness if ragu’s insirer sided with sham. So who said dash cam are illegal? They are legal ala they are not hidden, ragu you failed there

    - FRAUD over $5000
    - Attempted Fraud
    - Public Mischief

    Very very nice criminal charges … let’s see how he can get off with that???? hahaha …
